The well-stamped passport of Blanc D’Ivoire Dubai brings you everything you need to create your desired interior, from bohemian beauty to exotic elegance. Carefully coveted pieces from destinations dotted around the globe will give the inspiration needed for a worldly interior that is understated and simplistic yet carefully considered and defined.
When you travel, you inadvertently take a little bit of that place home with you; when you are part of the design world, you take a shipping container!! Well, the girls at Blanc D’Ivoire Dubai have just done that, travelling to beautiful Bali for the unique and different, absorbing themselves in the culture and finding the most beautiful pieces to share very soon - I got to a few glimpses of what’s on its way. Let’s just say I want at least two of everything!
People have always travelled, traded and moved from place to place. We are now travelling more than ever, but we are still following the historic path of the ‘Silk Road’. Let’s take a moment to step back in time and take a trip down the Silk Road, where people exchanged among themselves not just silk, of course, but goods, ideas, crafts and culture. It was a time when the East met the West and vice versa. People were inspired and influenced by each other, and now we have come full circle. We still do the same today, but it’s a lot easier for us 21st-century nomads. What is the saying? Travel makes you richer? For that, I am sure! We can experience all that travel offers by absorbing ourselves in other worlds. When we travel, we thrive on inspiration, we are captivated in the soul of a place, we eagerly meet new people, we learn of new cultures, we are riveted by colours that are placed in front of our eyes, and we aspire to things that are a little different or out of the ordinary. We are still like the people of the Silk Road, collecting knowledge, ideas, culture, and goods (every interior must-have goods, of course!) from each other.

‘We did not only find inspiration from the pieces we found; I was truly captivated by our surroundings. The breathtaking views and landscape allowed us to get lost in our senses.’
– Catherine, Interior Designer
Balinese furniture and pieces have contributed to this year’s multiple trends. Right now, in the world of interiors and styling, we are looking for anything created by hand, by artisans and designers. We are no longer looking for mass-produced pieces (where we ever?). Bali has contributed to the world of design with a plethora of homewares to make your home feel like a tropical oasis, a fresh and bright home with a minimalist bohemian vibe. Sadly, I have never been to Bali; I have been to many places, but not Bali. Carol’s excitemen, passion and drive ares inspirin,g and her descriptions of her trip to Bali transported me there, a heaven for interior designers or home styling enthusiasts, lots of hidden gems, and lots of authentic furniture.
Travelling through rural Bali, where rice fields are a stone’s throw away from workshops where fine artisans produce such beautiful pieces and so much culture in one environment, is truly inspiring!

The laid-back East meets West vibe that is now trending breathes life into your home and will awaken just about any soul. Drop by Blanc D’Ivoire to be inspired!
